From Forgotten to Favorite

Janet wanted to update her living room which had become a catch-all for inherited furniture and artwork. She loved the floral artwork, so it became our inspiration. In addition to space for Janet’s desk, this room would be where she met with her book club, so our goal was to create as much seating as possible, while still leaving space for her work.

This job includes:

  • Five original pieces of artwork by Michele Araquette were included in the gallery wall.

  • Family photos are displayed on the gold etagere.

  • Transitional Kate Spade lamps light up the gallery wall.

  • Custom painted bar.

The Before

Returning Home

After a relocation moved them from their family home for several years, this family was thrilled to be able to purchase back their home upon returning to Maryland. With our help, it is once again the family home they love.

  • The walls of the formal living room were painted to match the blue in the drapery. The chairs were recovered in a beautiful velvet and coordinating custom pillows were made for both the sofa and chairs.

  • Snowdrop by Sherwin Williams is the prettiest shade of pale blue and a lovely balance to the mahogany dining room furniture. Chartreuse found in the painting and the fabric in two Queen Anne chairs (far corner)create a fresh new room.
